BioSeal Reader: VDS & 2D-Doc

BioSeal Reader reads and verifies Visible Digital Seals (VDS) and 2D-Doc codes. Scan the code on an item (a document, a badge, a product…): the app checks its signature, issuer and revocation, then shows the certified data. The app reads 2D codes (DataMatrix, QR Code and PDF417) compliant with ISO 22376, the Otentik trust network extensions and the BioSeal extensions. It also reads 2D-Doc, the France Titres (ANTS) standard. Any change to the data breaks the electronic signature: BioSeal Reader detects it, confirms the authenticity of the data and the legitimacy of the issuer, and shows the information in one of the languages defined by the use case. Protection against quishing (QR code phishing): a tampered QR code can lead to a fake site that steals passwords or card details. BioSeal Reader also reads ordinary QR codes, but it first checks whether the code is a signed seal. If it is not, the app warns that the content is unverified and shows the full link before opening it, so you decide with full knowledge. For a seal bound to a web address, it also checks that the seal was issued for that address. Holder verification: when the seal carries a biometric reference, the app compares the holder's face or fingerprints with it, after the holder's consent. The comparison runs on the phone; no biometric data is sent. Reading seals is free; biometric verification requires an id3 licence. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
