So far, I’ve liked this app. It functions well, there’s very few ads (and the ones that are there are short and don’t affect your music), and everything is free. My only complaint is the search feature. It works ok, but I would make two suggestions for the developers. 1, I would like it if it would come up with suggested searches as I’m typing and/or remember my past searches (with the option to delete search history ofc), and 2, I really wish that there was a way to filter out covers and remixes from originals. I just want to add an original song to my playlist, but I can’t find it anywhere amidst the hundreds of remixes and covers, so that’s really annoying. Other than that, the app works great.

Clunky and Unintuitive Compared to Old Musi

This one is so weird, I looked far and wide for a settings page and there seems to be none. - No sound style adjustment? (Musi had the ability to change sound styles like Bass, acoustic, electronic, etc). - No Lyrics button? (Old Musi had this). - When searching for a song to add/fav, old Musi search results sometimes had premade playlists you could add/or play all songs in that premade playlist. Notes on UX/UI - Currently playing button moved to top right instead of a bar over home dock, this is harder to access (thumb has to travel farther) and adds an extra step if you want to see what is currently playing as there is no longer a title and artist description that can be seen like on top of the bottom dock in old Musi. - To hide the currently playing screen I need to actually press the hide button, in old Musi you could just swipe down. Another more difficult to use feature. - Why can’t I add a song that’s currently playing to a playlist? This new app only has the option to favorite, shuffle or not shuffle, and set a timer on currently playing screen. - Me, and most others could care less about the “Top Charts” section on the bottom dock. It just adds clutter. What the heck was wrong with the old Musi? Is this still a work in progress? It just feels like a major step backward unless im missing something.

Every good song I try to put on. It doesn’t let me and I have to delete songs. Is there a limit? I’m trying to be nice and I’m really about to crash out and block my phone, and this is a one star rating because you guys have a good usually I was gonna give you five. Now I’m giving you one star like literally why are you guys like putting a limit that’s why I have to delete like all of my songs. They were working now they’re not working, so please fix this. Literally people are having bad reviews, so. I installed this app. I thought I was gonna give me a good music because I want to film videos, so I can upload, but no, it doesn’t work, so how can I play my game while you’re listening to music at the same time like literally. Oh my God, you guys are so kidding This is a joke, trying to be nice. Is enough. I hope you fix this or else. I’ll literally crash out, and I almost broke my phone. My phone looks so cracked. Cause I kept getting an. Annoying, this is too annoying. Annoying annoying. Why can’t you guys be so loyal and at least don’t add a limit because it won’t work my God because you’re the worst music up in the world. Ok

You can customize your playlist and stuff like that. Some of the songs though don’t have the original artist but instead covers by other people, or remixes of that song. It doesn’t bother me too bad, but it would be nice to have original songs. Take for instance Panic! At The Disco, one song ( Saturday Night/ Say Amen) doesn’t have the original song only covers. But it’s not really a big deal to me. There’s also not a lot of adds which is good 👌👌And they don’t interrupt you either. I did have a problem one day where it wouldn’t let me play ANY songs at all, but I emailed the people who work with the app and it worked perfectly the next morning 👍👍 No serious problems so far, but we’ll see in the future. Highly recommend it it if you like totally free, no sign in necessary, music 👌👌💙💜🖤🔥

Born in 1969, Combs initially earned the nickname “Puff” during his youth because of his tendency to “huff and puff” when he was frustrated. This early nickname stuck with him as he entered the music industry, leading to his first stage name, Puff Daddy, which he adopted when he launched his career as a producer and rapper in the 1990s. Under this moniker, he became a prominent figure, founding Bad Boy Records and collaborating with major artists like The Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige. As his career evolved, Sean Combs began experimenting with different names to reflect his growth and reinvention. In the early 2000s, he shortened Puff Daddy to simply P. Diddy, signaling a fresh chapter after some tumultuous years in his personal and professional life. A few years later, he dropped the “P” entirely, becoming Diddy. This transition was meant to simplify his identity and make it easier for fans to connect with him. He explained that “Diddy” felt more approachable and represented a more mature version of himself as he expanded his empire beyond music into fashion, spirits, and media. Despite the multiple name changes, Diddy has consistently maintained his influence and relevance in the entertainment world. Each iteration of his name has symbolized a reinvention, mirroring his ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing industry. Whether as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or simply Diddy, Sean Combs remains a cultural force, proving that a name is not just an identifier but also a reflection of one’s journey and evolution.

Other than that, the app is pretty fine. It has a minimum amount of advertisements, only when you switch the playlist. Or click shuffle.

There weren't a lot of ads, when there were they wouldn't interrupt your music and were already muted, you could queue your music so you wouldn't have to constantly go into the app to play a new song, if you locked your screen and pressed the button for the next song it would actually play it instead of making you go back into the app, and it wasn't temperamental. With Music X, you get Error 404 messages all the time saying the file "isn't found" for no reason, especially if you listened to the song already. When you tap on a playlist, if it gives you an ad, once it's over it puts you into a completely different playlist. Ads are too frequent and aren't already silenced. With how I can hardly listen to my music, I wouldn't call this a music app, let alone one better than Musi. Musi actually did its job and did it well, which is probably the "underground" reason why Apple got rid of it.

It doesn’t do it every time, but it does make it hard when I’m trying to listen to my playlist or my favorites that I know were just playing the day before or recent and the song played with no problem then the next time I try to play it I get the “error occurs “ which then pauses or stops the playlist from playing instead of just going to the next track on the playlist. If you can get past that then honestly this app is truly what you want and need vs. Apple Music or some subscriptions that cost you $$

But to claim it’s better than Musi is probably not a good idea. Not to mention the logo for this app is like Musi just a slightly different design. If the creators did not claim that it is better than Musi I would have rated 4 stars because it’s a pretty decent streaming app as I said before. However, it’s missing many things: settings (self explanatory), mechanism to order songs, impossible to see the names of songs if you have night mode on your phone because the text stays black, and the list could go on and on. But in no world is this app better than Musi. Not by a long shot. This isn’t slander it’s stating facts and constructive criticism for the creators who might want to make some changes so that it IS better than Musi instead of the false claim. Thank you.
