PaceUp (Delivery) is a logistics platform that connects merchants and customers who need local delivery of physical goods with professional delivery partners (drivers). This app is the driver companion used to go online, receive and accept delivery requests, navigate to pickup/drop‑off, and communicate with merchants and recipients. Orders originate from our customer/merchant apps and web tools; this app focuses on fulfillment by the delivery partner. Target Market & Purpose The application supports two primary groups involved in the delivery workflow: - Drivers (delivery partners) who want flexible earning opportunities with real‑time job assignment, routing, and transparent payout tracking. - Merchants/marketplaces and consumers who require reliable, on‑demand local delivery for physical goods. Payments for deliveries are processed outside the app via mobile money rails (e.g., M‑Pesa). Upon successful delivery completion, funds are disbursed to the driver’s M‑Pesa account. The platform deducts a **15%** commission from delivery fees on each completed order. Core Features 1. Go Online & Trip Session Management - Drivers can toggle Online/Offline to receive jobs. - Background location (only while Online or on an active delivery) updates progress and routing. - Session persistence ensures reliable recovery after app restarts. 2. Delivery Request Handling - View incoming requests with key details; Accept/Decline actions. - Guided workflow for pickup and drop‑off with live status updates. - Simulated or live navigation support during testing. 3. Real‑Time Messaging - In‑app chat with merchant and recipient for coordination. - Image attachments supported for proof of delivery or clarifications. 4. Earnings & Payouts - View delivery earnings and transaction history in the wallet. - Payouts to drivers processed via M‑Pesa (outside Apple IAP). 5. Driver Onboarding & Compliance - Secure identity and eligibility document capture (ID front/back, license, insurance, character reference). - Document preview, replacement, and deletion. - Progress indicators and completeness checks. 6.
