Description

Fragrance Formulator is a perfume design studio for indie and hobbyist perfumers, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Build formulas, check them against IFRA's safety limits, see what you can make from what you already own, and track every batch you pour. IFRA LIMIT CHECK — FREE, ON YOUR DEVICE • Check every material in a formula against IFRA's published Standards, the safety limits the fragrance industry works to. • Choose the product type and the strength it will be worn at, and see each material's level in the finished perfume worked out for you — "0.32% in compound × 20% concentration = 0.064% in product". • Dilutions in your material names are understood: 10% DPG is counted at a tenth of its weight. • Materials sharing a Standard are added together, because that is how a limit works. • Results come in three groups — over a limit, check the Standard by hand, and not recognised — so you always know what was and wasn't checked. • It is an advisory check, not a certification, and it never tells you a formula is "compliant". It links you to the official Standard for anything that matters. • No credits, no internet connection, no account. CREATE • The Formula tab starts with a simple choice: AI assisted creation, build by hand, import a file, or check a formula you've saved. • Build a formula ingredient by ingredient with autocomplete from your inventory, or import one from PDF / CSV / XLSX — any layout. • Create using AI — a guided wizard takes you through gender, day or night, a base direction and up to two key notes, then composes a complete 18–22 ingredient formula built on proven perfumery accords. Run the IFRA check on the result before you make it. CHECK AGAINST YOUR INVENTORY • Find out, line by line, whether you own each material, can substitute it from what's in stock (with confidence scores and mix ratios), or need to buy it. • Save the result to Mix exactly as written: your own amounts, one line per material, dilutions combined at the right strength. • Fragrance Overview — a Fragrantica-style profile of any formula: scent description, main accords, when-to-wear scores, a note pyramid, longevity, sillage and gender scales, and an inspiration map of where the key raw materials come from. Export it as a polished PDF. ORGANISE • Mix — save formulas, colour-code and group them into folders, set batch size and concentration, and tick off each material as you weigh it. Grams are calculated for you. • Created — log every batch with its date, weight, concentration and alcohol, and follow it through maceration: alcohol added +14 days, maceration complete +60 days. • Inventory — every material you own with weights, suppliers and notes. CSV import and export. • Shopping List — fills itself from "Buy" results, with Ordered and Received tracking and one-tap add to inventory. ICLOUD SYNC Formulas, folders, batches, inventory and shopping list sync across your iPhone, iPad and Mac through your own private iCloud account. CREDITS AI features use credits bought through Apple — no subscription, nothing expires. Every AI action shows its exact cost before you confirm. Everything else, including the IFRA check, is free.

Renaming a formula works. Rename in the ⋯ menu did fire, but it drew its name fields at the very bottom of the ingredient list, below every row, so on a long formula nothing appeared to happen. It opens as a panel of its own now. Add to Created, IFRA and Overview no longer crowd one another. The three shared a single row and the longest label had nowhere to go, so the first one takes a row of its own. And reading a file shows its progress once instead of twice.
