Description
Found a tick, or checking for one? TickSight's scanner flips your camera's colors so dark ticks stand out on light fur, skin and clothing, and its AI names the likely species from a photo. Then see what to do next: CDC-aligned removal steps, a card for the species and this week's tick activity where you are. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open Scan and move your camera slowly over fur, skin or clothing. Invert and Boost make dark specks stand out; turn on the light and zoom in as needed. 2. Found one? Capture it, add a note and save it. 3. Open Identify and photograph the tick, or pick a photo from your library. TickSight's AI compares it with 10 species and shows the most likely one with a confidence level, the life stage, the features it went by and possible alternates. 10 SPECIES CARDS Blacklegged (deer) tick, western blacklegged tick, American dog tick, brown dog tick, lone star tick, Rocky Mountain wood tick, Gulf Coast tick, Pacific Coast tick, Asian longhorned tick and castor bean tick. Each card shows the range, a map of recorded sightings, the season, identifying features, the diseases it can carry and removal notes, with a link to its source. LOCAL TICK FORECAST See how active ticks are likely to be near you over the next 7 days, based on your local weather. Your location is used only while the app is open and is never stored. REMOVAL AND PREVENTION GUIDE Tick removal step by step as the CDC describes it, what to do if mouthparts remain, what to watch for afterward, and how to lower your chances of a bite outdoors, at home and with kids and pets. ASK ABOUT TICKS Chat with TickSight's AI about species, removal, prevention and tick-borne illness in general terms. Answers draw on current CDC and public health pages. It does not diagnose or recommend treatment. YOUR SAVES Keep your captures and identifications in one history, with the date and your notes.
