Mosaic: Seed Phrase Backup

Some secrets are too important to keep in one place. Mosaic splits a seed phrase, recovery key or password into shares and gives them to people you trust. A single share isn't enough to reveal your secret. When you need it back, collect enough shares and Mosaic rebuilds it on your device. HOW IT WORKS • Create a secret and choose how many shares to make, for example 5. • Choose the threshold: how many shares are needed to recover it, for example 2. • Send each share to someone you trust over Wi-Fi, or let them scan a QR code. • To recover, ask your holders to return their shares. Once you reach the threshold, your secret is restored on your phone. Lose one share, or have one fall into the wrong hands, and your secret stays safe. Only the right number of shares together can bring it back. BUILT ON SHAMIR'S SECRET SHARING Mosaic uses Shamir's Secret Sharing, a proven method from cryptography. Fewer shares than the threshold can't recover the secret. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no Mosaic servers. • Secrets and shares are stored only on your device, in its secure keychain. • Shares travel directly between nearby devices over an encrypted local connection, or by QR code. • No ads, no tracking, no analytics. We collect no data. HOLD SHARES FOR OTHERS Friends and family can send their shares to you. Keep them safe in Mosaic and return them when they ask. LOCKED TO YOU Require Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode to open Mosaic. USE IT FOR • Crypto wallet seed phrases • Password manager master passwords • Recovery keys and two-factor backup codes • Account details for your family and estate planning Mosaic works on iPhone and iPad, in English and Spanish.
