Spark Plug Reader

Spark Plug Reader is a visual inspection and installation reference for spark plugs. It helps you look carefully before you replace anything. Work through six steps on the inspection bench: 1. Inspect. Pick the appearance of the plug nose and see it on a drawn plug diagram. 2. Compare. Eight appearances, each with what you can see, possible causes, what else can look the same, how to tell them apart, and when to ask a professional. Causes are worded as possibilities, because one plug is one cylinder on one day. 3. Investigate. A checklist of safe checks and checks that need equipment. Mark each finding observed or not observed, and mark whether you have confirmed it. 4. Record. Name the engine, record every cylinder, and see whether the plugs agree or one stands apart. The app never names a failed part. 5. Install. Choose thread, seat type and head material to see torque ranges from NGK and DENSO published tables side by side, in Nm and ft-lb, with the source. When there is no verified row, the app says "Manufacturer specification required" instead of guessing. 6. Library. Save, search, filter, duplicate and delete inspections on your device.
