Flashcards · Baro

Your cards never leave your phone. Flashcards is a flashcard app that lives entirely on your device. Build decks, study with spaced repetition, and tap any card to hear it spoken — all with no internet, no account, and no tracking. Don't believe it? Turn on airplane mode and watch every feature keep working. Nothing is ever uploaded. THE DIFFERENCE FROM EVERY OTHER FLASHCARD APP The popular ones are free because you are the product: they make you create an account, sync your decks to their cloud, and quietly study you back. The serious ones lock spaced repetition behind a monthly subscription. Flashcards does neither. No account, no cloud, no subscription, no ads — and your decks physically stay on your phone. WHY OMITCARDS - Zero data — decks and pronunciation run on-device, verifiable in airplane mode. - Zero ads — no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no account, ever. - Zero waiting — no sign-up, no sync, no spinners. Open it and study. WHAT'S INSIDE - Spaced repetition that remembers for you. A lightweight SM-2 scheduler shows each card right before you'd forget it. Grade it Again, Hard, Good, or Easy and the next review date adjusts automatically. Again brings the card back later in the same session, because "I don't know it" should mean it comes back — and Undo rewinds a mis-tapped grade, next review date included. - Start studying in one tap. Study now, on the home screen, opens a review spanning every deck you have, with the number of cards due right now printed on the button. No picking a deck first, no menus to walk through. - Build your own decks in seconds — or paste one in. Add a front, a back, an optional example sentence, and a language tag. Or paste a whole list at once: comma, tab or dash separated, the app works out which, skips the header row and the duplicates, and shows you the count before you save. The pasted text is read on this phone and never leaves it. Edit any card anytime. A small French starter deck is included so you can begin in one tap. - Tap to hear it spoken, offline. Tap any card to hear the term in its language using your phone's built-in voice — great for pronunciation and listening practice. - Big cards, big buttons, single-tap design. Every button is at least 64 pt, text is large and high-contrast, and the AMOLED-black background sips battery. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS Pronunciation uses your phone's built-in offline voice, so it's available for the languages your device supports on-device. It's a bonus on top of the core: cards and spaced repetition always work, with or without a voice. We'd rather promise less and keep every promise. MADE FOR Language learners building vocabulary, students cramming for an exam, travelers learning key phrases before a trip, and anyone who refuses to send a tool this simple to the cloud. NO SUBSCRIPTIONS, NO ADS No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no account. That's the whole deal. Part of the Baro family — The tools you reach for first.
