RUN4 - Tape & Texture Machine

RUN4 is a four-track Tape & Texture Machine for iPhone and iPad. Capture sound, turn it into moving tape loops, build patterns and instruments, then shape everything into a playable performance. THREE MATERIAL MODES • Tape — record, overdub, loop, freeze and recall sound. Bloom turns one playhead into a cloud, Command plays the tape with steps. • Listen and Capture turn the last seconds of RUN4's internal mix into new material. • Poly — play samples, a classic synth, 4-operator FM, Keys (Tine, Reed, Felt and Organ), macro-oscillator models, wavetables or hosted AUv3 instruments. • Disc — stream and perform long-form audio, and scratch the record with your finger. KIT AND CHOP • Chop any sample or tape loop onto the pads, at the hits or in equal parts. • 32 pads in four banks, each with In and Out, Gate or One-shot, Reverse, Choke, Pitch, Gain and envelope. • KIT puts the pads on the keyboard's white keys. • Turn any loop into a wavetable and morph through its waves. SEQUENCE • Patterns with up to 64 steps. • Tap a pad onto a step, tap a step to hear it. • Euclidean tools, step locks, probability, swing, variation, humanize and count-in. SHAPE EVERY TRACK • Grain, Tone, Color and Air on every track, with device presets. • A modulation matrix with LFOs, drawn curves and macros. • Four send busses, each a RUN4 effect or an AUv3. • A master chain with Tone, Drive, Glue, OTT, Width and Limiter. • Export final mixes or individual WAV stems. BUILT TO PERFORM • Switch sets and use TEMP for changes you don't keep. • Macros, the Rune Pad and Punch-in FX for Tapes, TÓLF or both, including a Remix pad. • Audio-reactive visuals. • Sync via MIDI Clock or Ableton Link, and map external MIDI controls. • Five designs, from Standard to Mono, Graphite, Reel and Cream, in light and dark. AUV3 AND PROJECT WORKFLOW • Host compatible AUv3 instruments and effects inside RUN4. • Load RUN4 as an AUv3 effect, source or instrument in a compatible host. • Save projects locally or sync them through iCloud between iPhone and iPad. Third-party AUv3 plugins must be installed on every device used to open a project. • Bluetooth MIDI, CC Learn, AudioShare import and offline bounce. • A searchable in-app manual and a Full Tour of every screen. TÓLF — TWELVE MORE TRACKS TÓLF is an optional one-time in-app purchase that adds 12 tracks to RUN4's four-track workflow. • 12 additional tracks with sampler, synth and granular voices. • Seven pattern generators: Euclid, Walk, Cascade, Bloom, Orbit, Tide and Collider. • Arp, Strum, Hold and Harmony Brain for chords and parts in key. • Patterns, scenes and a song mode. • Its own punch effects: Gate, Stutter, Reverse, Stop, Crush, Repeat and Fill. • Record TÓLF tracks or groups directly into RUN4's Tape tracks. • Export TÓLF stems and MIDI. TÓLF can be unlocked from Settings and restored on any device using the same App Store account. TÓLF is RUN4's only in-app purchase. Everything else described above is included with the main app.
