CatRead — Book Tracker & More

CatRead is your personal memory archive for books and films. No social feed. No algorithms. No recommendations. Just a beautiful, private space where you log what you've read and watched, leave your own thoughts, and build a record of your taste over time. Log anything, instantly: Add any book or film in seconds. Give it a rating from 1 to 10, pick a genre, set the date you finished it, and leave a personal note — your raw reaction, a favorite line, or just how it made you feel. Your diary, your words. Your wishlists, built in: Save books and films you want to get to next across multiple named wishlists — "Books for summer," "Films to watch this weekend," "Classics to finish." When you're done, move it straight to your library and log your thoughts in one tap. Never lose track of what's next. A library that's yours: Browse everything you've logged in a clean, text-first library. Filter by books or films. Sort by date, rating, or title. Search by name. Every entry feels like a page in a well-designed notebook. Free users can log up to 30 books and 30 films. Go premium for unlimited. Travel back in time: The Timeline view shows your entire history grouped by month and year. Scroll back and see what you were reading in January, what films got you through last summer, how your taste has shifted. It's quietly one of the best parts of the app. Know yourself better: Your Profile shows the numbers that matter — total books read, total films watched, your average rating, your most active month, and your longest streak. Upgrade to premium for deeper insights: rating trends over time, genre breakdown, year in review, and your best rated year. Designed to feel good: CatRead is built around one idea: the app should feel as good to use as the books and films you're logging. Calm typography, generous spacing, smooth transitions, and a visual identity that feels premium without being loud. It fits naturally into your life without demanding attention. Private by design: Everything lives on your device. No account required. No data sent anywhere. No login, no cloud, no tracking. Your library is yours alone. Export it anytime as a PDF or CSV if you want a backup. Built for readers and watchers who care: If you use Letterboxd, Goodreads, or a notes app to track what you consume — CatRead is the single private alternative that covers both, without the noise.
