Wainwright Memories

330 peaks. Your photos. Your days on the hill. Wainwright Memories is the Lake District app that actually feels like going out. Bag every Wainwright — 214 main summits plus 116 Outlying, 330 in total — whether you’re chasing the full round or you only just bought the boots. YOUR PEAKS. YOUR PHOTOS. Every Wainwright gets its own private gallery. Add shots from the camera, your library, or memories you’ve already saved (grab a bunch at once). Pin a favourite as the big hero photo for that summit — or flip back to the classic artwork whenever you like. That hero can show up on lists and cards across the app, so the mountains you care about look like your walks, not a postcard. TICK THEM OFF. WATCH IT ADD UP. Rich info and images for all 330 fells. Mark a summit complete with a date, bulk-complete when you’re catching up, and see your progress at a glance. Unmark one later and the numbers stay honest. MAPS BUILT FOR BAGGERS Interactive maps with clear markers for done and still-to-do. Same look everywhere — the main map, memories, routes — so you always know what’s in the bag. RECORD THE WALK Hit Record and take the fell with you. GPS keeps going in the background, live stats while you move, then save the activity and drop it straight into a memory. WEATHER WHERE IT MATTERS Lake District conditions on the home screen. Peak-level forecasts when you’re planning a day out — multi-day outlooks, summit-focused detail, and a heads-up when the weather turns properly grim. KEEP THE DAY, NOT JUST THE TICK. Log each outing: date, weather (wind too, when we’ve got it), which Wainwrights you stood on, distance and duration in kilometres or miles, and how good it actually felt. Add friends who use the app and buddies who were there without it. Photos and videos sit front and centre in a story-style layout. Own the memory? Long-press a thumbnail to set the cover. PLAY THE ROUTE BACK. Attach GPS tracks (GPX or XML), see the line with elevation and journey stats. Connect Strava to browse and import activities. Pull in hiking workouts from Apple Health. Then hit Play for a satellite flythrough of the day. Yes, really. BADGES, SHARES, MATES. Unlock badges for milestones and regional progress. Share a gorgeous summary card or a bunch of photos to your usual apps — or share the memory inside Wainwright Memories so the day lands on your friend’s phone too. WORKS WHEN THE SIGNAL DOESN’T. Built for patchy fells: the core stuff works offline, then catches up when you’re back in the land of bars. IN-APP PURCHASES Creating memories uses a simple credit system. Credit packs are available as in-app purchases through the App Store. More than a checklist. It’s the journal of your time in the Lakeland fells — early starts, big views, grim days, quiet ridges. Download Wainwright Memories and keep every summit story in one place.
