Description

Last Light is a reaction game about the moment a tip lights up and the split second you have to decide. You are sat behind a rack of rods on a black lake with one lamp between you and the end of the night. Rods bend on their own schedule. When a tip flares amber there on it and you have well under a second to tap that rod. When a tip glows cold blue it is drifting weed, and striking it spooks the swim and costs you light. Warm means strike. Cold means hands off. Everything else in the game is built on that one call. • The lamp is the only clock. It burns down the whole run — every you land tops it back up, every mistake drains it, and when it reaches zero the night is over. • Windows shrink. A comfortable 0.9 second at the start, well under half a second later on, with the weed learning to bend a rod almost as hard as a real. • Violet is a trophy: triple points and four seconds of lamp, but the shortest window in the game. Take it first or lose it. • Never strike early. Tapping a rod that has not bitten costs light too, so mashing the screen is strictly worse than waiting. • Streaks pay. Four clean strikes double your points, eight triple them, fourteen pay five times over — and one slip puts you back to the start. • More rods arrive as you survive: four, then five, then six, all with their own timers, all going off at once. • A stand full of night — eel, bream, tench, zander, burbot and the wels — each worth different points and different seconds of light. • A bell marker you can switch on if the colours are hard to split apart. No levels, no lives, no coins, no shop, nothing to buy and nothing to wait for. One finger, one night, one score to beat. It works with the phone in aeroplane mode and it never asks you for anything.
