Salaam Eats

Salaam Eats is your guide to local halal food. Know what you're eating - discover halal and zabiha restaurants, meat shops, and suppliers. Get to know the certifiers behind them and the different halal standards they uphold. Get clarity on what a restaurant means when they say they serve "halal" before deciding to eat there! Restaurant meat suppliers are crowdsourced - contributions are welcome! WHAT YOU CAN DO • Find nearby halal restaurants and butcher shops using your location • Search and filter to discover places that are reported to match your halal standards - by certifier, hand-slaughtered, or stunning criteria • See detailed halal information and understand the halal meat supply chain behind a business, not just a halal label or claim • Submit meat supplier reports for your local restaurants and butcher shops and contribute to the community COMMUNITY-DRIVEN LISTINGS, TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN Our restaurant and shop listings are powered by people who care about eating halal - anyone can recommend a place, flag something that looks off, or suggest an update. We don’t pretend to independently audit every restaurant or butcher. Instead, we show you the information we have transparently so you can make your own informed decisions. We always ask users to still conduct their own due diligence and flag anything that seems incorrect.
