Description
QuickFactor will return the factors and prime factorization for a number. If presented with a second number, QuickFactor will return both the GCF (greatest common factor) and the LCM (least common multiple) for the pair of values. It's design is meant to be fast, minimalist and most importantly, functional. glossary factor: to factor a number means to break it up into numbers that can be multiplied together to get the original number. prime factorization: finding the factors of a number that are all prime. gcf: the greatest common factor (GCF) is the greatest factor that is common to two or more numbers (they share it). lcm: a common multiple is a number that is a multiple of two or more numbers. Common multiples of 2 and 3 are 0, 6, 12, 18, ... The least common multiple (LCM) of two numbers is the smallest number (excluding zero) that is a multiple of both of the numbers.
