Enchapter: Bedtime Reading

Enchapter is a calm reading app for children aged 4 to 10. Classic stories become picture books, one painted page at a time, and your child can make illustrated stories of their own. Made by Charles Seay for his granddaughter. READ • Hundreds of classic children's books, free to read, retold for young readers • A painted picture on every page • Read-aloud with words that light up as they're spoken (Plus) • Reading settings: bigger text, the OpenDyslexic font, or the story told as a chat • Fairy tales, animal stories, adventures, poems and more in Discover MAKE • Your child picks three pictures (who, where and what happens) and gets a short illustrated story of their own • No typing and no chat box: stories start from pictures • Every story passes a children's word filter and a safety check before it's shown • Send to family: a grown-up can turn a story into a picture book to send by Messages, Mail or AirDrop PLAY AND GROW • Trace letters A to Z and numbers 0 to 9 with a finger, and tap to hear each one said aloud.
