JammBuddy helps you find other musicians nearby to actually play with. Not a social network, not a forum — a way to meet people in your own city who want to jam, start a band, or just play together for fun. How it works • Build a profile: your instruments, genres, skill level, and what you're looking for. • Search for musicians near you, filtered by instrument, genre, skill level, and distance. • Message anyone in your area directly — no request, no waiting for approval. Talk it through first. • When it clicks, send a jam request to make it official, then coordinate a time and place. • Save a profile you like. If they've saved yours too, it's a match and you both get told. • Host or join group jam sessions with other musicians in your area. Built for playing in person JammBuddy is deliberately local. You connect with musicians close enough to actually meet up and play — matching happens within your city, not across the country. We're rolling out one city at a time so each community has enough musicians to be useful. Austin first; more to come. Your location stays private JammBuddy never asks for or stores your street address. Setting your home city or turning on Travel Mode takes one GPS reading and snaps it to the nearest city — that's all we store and match on, never your exact coordinates. Location is only read when you take an action that needs it, never in the background. Membership JammBuddy is free to use. Membership adds more: • Starter — the entry membership tier. • Pro — more requests per day, host multiple group sessions, advanced search filters, and Travel Mode (find and be found in any city you're visiting). • Max — the highest daily limit and every Pro feature. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial on Starter. Subscriptions renew monthly (or yearly at a discount) until cancelled; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
