Scannex turns any document into structured text with on-device OCR, on-device translation and six export formats. Nothing leaves your iPhone or iPad. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking. We don't collect your data, we don't want it. We just want you to be able to be productive without worrying that your data is floating out there somewhere in the universe. Powered by Apple's Vision framework, Scannex captures text from photos or camera scans and hands it back in whatever format your workflow needs. Turn on translation (iOS 18+) and Apple's on-device Translation framework converts foreign-language scans to English before you export again, without a network round trip. WHAT SCANNEX DOES • Scan with the camera or pick an image from your library • Extract printed and handwritten text with Apple Vision OCR • Optionally translate the result to English on-device (iOS 18+) • Save every scan to a local history you can revisit and re-export • Export to PDF, TXT, CSV, XLSX, JSON, or HTML • Share via the iOS share sheet, email, or clipboard BUILT FOR PRIVACY Scannex was designed local-first from day one: • No network requests • No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs • No sign-in, no account, no cloud sync • Scan history is stored in the app container and never transmitted • Clipboard copies expire after 5 minutes • Camera and Photo Library permissions are optional and only used when you start a scan SAFE SPREADSHEET EXPORTS CSV and XLSX exports are sanitized against formula-injection attacks, a common vulnerability in scan-to-spreadsheet workflows. Scannex neutralizes any cell that starts with =, +, -, or @ so opening the file in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets cannot trigger a hidden formula.
