firstgear

firstgear turns learning to drive into a clear, confident, trackable journey — for learners and the supervisors who teach them. No more crumpled paper logbooks. No more guessing what to practise next. Just a simple, structured way to build real driving skills, log every hour behind the wheel, and know exactly when you're ready. WHAT YOU'LL DO WITH FIRSTGEAR • Track your progress across 45 core driving skills — from basic moves and low-speed control, through intermediate road craft, parking, advanced manoeuvres and special conditions. • Start a practice session in one tap. Pick the skills you want to focus on, drive, then reflect together at the end. • Rate how you went on each skill after every session. Your confidence builds visibly over time — new → practising → competent. • Add a supervisor (a parent, guardian or instructor) so they can rate sessions alongside you. Two perspectives, one honest picture of where you're at. • Watch short expert video guides for every skill before you get behind the wheel. Know what to do before you try it. • Set your own goals — hours, skills, milestones — and watch them tick over. • See your full driving history. Every session. Every skill practised. Every reflection. THREE WAYS TO DRIVE • Practise Skills — pick the skills you want to work on before you start. • Point to Point — plan a route and drive it end to end. • Free Drive — no structure, just log the hours. BUILT FOR LEARNER DRIVERS firstgear is built around how people actually learn to drive: one skill at a time, with honest reflection, supportive supervision, and visible progress. We know getting your licence feels big. We made firstgear so it doesn't have to feel overwhelming. PRIVACY, DONE PROPERLY Your data stays yours.
