Description
Peak Root tests an irrigation plan for a plot in Greece and returns a pass or a fail for April to October. SEASON VERDICT Enter the crop, its growth phase, the soil, and the drip system. The app checks every month of the dry season against three rules: the water has to cover the crop's net need, and a single dose has to land inside the root zone rather than running past it or barely wetting it. THE NUMBERS BEHIND IT Reference evapotranspiration follows FAO Irrigation and Drainage Paper 56, the Penman–Monteith method. You can open the full sheet for any month, the monthly water budget, the minutes per week, and a soil lab that shows how root depth changes the water the soil can hold. GREEK CLIMATE STATIONS Temperature, rain and sunshine come from climate normals of 11 stations. Pick one on the map or ask for the nearest. Where humidity, wind or sunshine is missing, the app says so and uses the documented FAO-56 default instead of inventing a figure. Stations without a published record are named and left out. COMPARE AND KEEP Compare two plots side by side, share a verdict, and pin the latest one to a home-screen widget. A weekly reminder is off until you turn it on. Everything is calculated on your device. Peak Root is a planning aid, not agronomic advice.
