You meet a plant or an idea, you recall it a little later, then you put it to work on a real situation. Nothing appears in a challenge that you have not already been taught, so it builds you up rather than catching you out. Sessions are short. Ten minutes is a proper session. Some days you will do less, and that is absolutely fine. It is the coming back that does the work. A GARDEN THAT GROWS WITH YOU Everything you learn earns seeds, and seeds become plants in a garden that is yours alone. It fills up slowly, and no two gardens end up looking alike. Tend yours each day to earn leaves, which buy perks, features and new outfits for Sprig, your companion through all of it. There are five ranks to work through, from Seedling all the way to Master Gardener, and a Garden Guild of little companions who turn up as you go. Each one brings something useful along with them. REAL JOBS, NOT JUST SCREENS Tasks send you outside. Deadhead five flowers. Take a cutting. Find out what your soil actually is. Tick them off and bank the reward. Keep a diary with photos as you go, and by the end of the year you will have a record of a real garden, in your own hands. You are not just reading about gardening. You are gardening, with someone friendly checking you have understood. LOCAL AND SEASONAL Switch on weather tips and Sprig will give you a nudge about frost before a cold night, or suggest you leave the watering can alone because rain is on its way.
