Description

Review Anything is a private log of everything you try, watch, play, read and go to, with a friends feed on top. Rate from 0 to 5 in quarter stars. Then answer "would you do it again?" separately, because a three-star place you would go back to and a four-star one you would not are different things, and one number cannot hold both. WRITE IT THE WAY YOU'D SAY IT Type what happened - "had the wings at Pluckers, got the lemon pepper, 4.5 stars, crispy and huge" - and it becomes a review with a category, a place, a rating and a date. Or fill in the form instead. Attach photos. Pin where you were. IT REMEMBERS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO - You've had this before. Start logging something you have logged before and it shows what you gave it last time, whether you said you would repeat it, and what you wrote. - On this day. What you were eating, watching and doing a year ago today. - Rankings. Every kind of thing you log - chicken wings, ramen, TV series - ranked best to worst. - Recall. Ask a question in plain language and get an answer built only from your own reviews. - Places. A map of everywhere you have been, with "you have been here three times, get this, skip that", and a menu anyone who has been there can add to. - Tags. The words you use come back as filters. LISTS Jukebox, watchlist, reading list, want to try, groceries, favorites, or your own. Check things off, reorder them, reset every check for next time. Share a list with a link and it opens in any browser with no account, and whoever you sent it to can tick things off too. FRIENDS Follow people. Follow each other and you are friends. Every review is private, friends-only or public, and private is the default. Your whole account can be private, so people have to ask before they can follow you. Coordinates are rounded for everyone except you. BRING YOUR OWN AI KEY Plain-language capture and Recall work out of the box with a built-in parser. Connect a key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google - or anything that speaks the OpenAI API, including a model running on your own machine - and both get considerably better. Your provider bills you directly, usually a fraction of a cent per review. Your key is encrypted, used only for your own requests, never shown again beyond its last four characters, and deleted the moment you remove it. FREE This version has no ads, no tracking, no subscription and no in-app purchases. Logging, editing and reading back your whole history are the app, not a tier of it, and they will not go behind a paywall. Because the AI runs on your own key, there is no per-person cost to cover. Categories: food and drink, places, movies and TV, games, books, music, travel, products, events, and anything else you want to rate.

What's New

Version 1.0.2 2026-10-11

A new tab for everything that isn't a review yet: notes with checklists and photos, kept in folders, with a Recently Deleted folder for second thoughts. Anything on the Add tab can be saved as a note instead, and Recall searches your notes as well as your reviews. Look around before you sign up. Without an account you can read everyone's public reviews and browse the map. You're asked to sign in only when you want to write, follow or save something, and you land back where you were. Followers and following. See who follows you and who you follow, unfollow or remove a follower, and accept or decline requests. Help decide what to build next. Settings → Your data → Share usage counts counts which features get used, never what you write, where you are, or which account or device it came from. Nothing goes to a third party, and you can turn it off. Photos open full screen, on the photo you tapped, and you can zoom in. Lists can have headings, with two new ready-made lists: Places to go, and a private Gift ideas. Easier to read. Stronger colours in the light theme, layouts that stay whole at large text sizes, and screen readers now hear what every button, switch and tick does. Fixed: the app no longer sometimes opens sitting too low on the screen; a link that opens the app lands where it points; the places list and map hold still while nearby places are still arriving; a note typed during a slow save no longer comes back as a second copy; text fields stay above the keyboard; rankings only call something a ranking when there are two things to compare. Privacy: photos you upload have their location and other hidden details removed before they're stored, and signing out forgets this phone's last location.
