Description

SettleShip is a group expense-splitting app for friends, roommates, and travel groups in India. Users create a "crew" (group), log shared expenses, and the app calculates who owes whom. Settlement is UPI-native: the app generates UPI deep links and QR codes that open the user's own UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) to complete payment — SettleShip itself never processes, holds, or transmits payment credentials or funds. This solves the common friction of manual expense-splitting math and chasing people for repayment in group settings common in India.

SettleShip reads your device region and fills in the country code for you. India (+91) is the default when the region isn’t available. Paste an international number starting with + and the prefix updates automatically. The same phone field is used on your profile, so editing your number is just as simple. PHONE AND CREW Adding a crewmate by hand works the same way: enter a local number and we’ll attach the country code. Contacts browse and member picking are more reliable when you’re building a crew. NOTIFICATIONS Crew activity can now reach you as a push notification, so you don’t have to open the app to see that someone logged a spend or settled up. BALANCES AND DOCKING Who-owes-whom is clearer and more consistent across a crew. Settlement math is tighter, so the Dock tab should match what you expect when you mark a transfer paid. TELEMETRY Spend charts on the Telemetry tab are easier to read, with better category and time-range breakdowns for the active crew. EVERYDAY POLISH • Log tab scrolling is smoother when you’re adding or reviewing expenses • Profile layout: RETURN sits where you’d look for it • Joining a crew by gate code is more dependable • Home / fleet navigation is less likely to land you on the wrong screen • Live crew updates and offline sync are more stable SettleShip is still free. No ads, no commission, no subscriptions. Money still moves peer-to-peer through your own UPI app — we never hold it.
