WikiFarms Australia

WikiFarms Australia: the farm work map made by backpackers Looking for farm work on your Working Holiday, or chasing your 88 days for a second visa? WikiFarms Australia puts more than 3,500 farms, working hostels and agencies on one map, ready to contact directly. FIND FARM WORK • Every farm on the map of Australia, with what it grows and the months it hires • Filters by crop and season, and "eligible only" to see just the places that count for your 417 or 462 visa • Call, email or get directions straight from the farm card, with the local time so you don't ring at dawn • Plan a tour: several farms in one trip, without doubling back • Offline maps: download your region and keep every number, even with no signal in the bush • Reviews and thumbs up from other backpackers • A farm is missing? Add it in a few taps COUNT YOUR DAYS • Add your payslips from a photo, a PDF or by hand: the app counts your 88 or 179 days following the official rules • Your visa countdown, and Kev's journey: which regions to chase, season after season, to finish before your visa ends • A visa file with your payslips kept ready, and an estimate of the super you can claim back when you leave STAY SAFE, GET PAID FAIRLY • Check my pay: is your hourly or piece rate legal? Based on the official Fair Work minimum rates • Red flags: what to look out for before saying yes to a job, and who to call for help • Postcode checker for 417 and 462 visas AND A BIT OF FUN Badges, a stamp for every region in your passport, a slang book with Kev the lorikeet… and a hidden window full of Australia's Big Things, if you can spot Wally. GOOD TO KNOW • Names, contacts, full zoom and offline maps come with map access: one purchase, no subscription. If you bought WikiFarms before, your access comes back. • An account (Apple or Google) is optional: it keeps your notebook when you change phone. • WikiFarms is a contact directory, not a job board. We can't promise a farm will hire or answer. From experience, calling or turning up in person works better than a single email: many farms hire at the last minute in season. • Contacts are checked regularly, and you can report one that no longer works. WHO WE ARE Backpackers, like you. When we looked for farm work for our own second visa, reliable information was hard to find, so we built the tool we were missing. We're a very small team and every purchase helps us improve the app. Questions? [email protected]
