Engelskmann

Engelskmann is a Norwegian trick-taking card game for 3–7 players, played online – each player on their own iPhone or iPad. You bid exactly how many tricks you think you'll take, and you only score if you hit your bid exactly: 10 points plus one per trick, zero if you miss. The dealer bids last and must make sure the bids never add up to the number of cards in play, so every round is either over-bid or under-bid. That tension, knowing what you can take while guessing what everyone else is up to, is the strategic heart of the game. Rounds start at 1 card and build up to the largest hand, then move through seven special rounds: halvblind (you bid before trump is revealed), blind (you bid without seeing your cards), vill knekt (jacks are wild), and grand (no trump) – then the same rounds mirrored back down, before returning to 1 card again. Invite friends with a link or a QR code – one tap and they're in the room. Need more players?
